Fey Yu

Business Support

I come from Qingdao, a beautiful coastal city in Shandong Province. It is well-known for TSINGTAO beer and the home appliance brand Haier, which owns the Kiwi brand Fisher & Paykel. I chose to call myself Fey because the pronunciation is quite similar to my Chinese name Fei.

I hold a Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) from Ocean University of China and a Bachelor of Accountancy from Massey University. I take pride in completing my studies as an adult student while looking after my family and kids and juggling multiple roles in New Zealand.

Easy-going, responsible, and kind are the three keywords that describe me best. My inner drive is my motivation to keep moving forward. As a migrant, I don’t want to confine myself to being just a housewife and being around with kids. I aspire to connect with the community and integrate into the local society.

In my current role in Business Support, I take pride in effectively managing rent arrears. I assist tenants in setting up repayment plans and help landlords collect rent for their investments. I believe everyone may face difficult times, and I derive a strong sense of achievement from assisting others in such situations.

I strive to maintain a gentle and quiet spirit in all aspects of my life. I enjoy going for walks and reading the Bible to unwind. I also like playing table tennis and badminton, although I don’t play much now.

I enjoy working in an easy-going and effective communication environment. We are goal-oriented and work collaboratively to accomplish each task.
