I come from Guangdong, and my hometown Shantou is a seaside city with a rich Teochew culture. Teochew culture is characterised by its rich heritage, distinctive language, culinary traditions, performing arts, and a strong sense of community.
I completed my tertiary studies and started my career in Guangzhou, making it my second hometown in China. I am fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and the Teochew dialect.
I hold a Graduate Diploma of Accounting from Massey University and a Bachelor of Economics, International Trade from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. I am pleased that I am reading various accounting papers in New Zealand out of deep interest rather than pursuing another degree or diploma. I am satisfied with the knowledge I acquire, as it allows me to understand the local business environment and culture.
Describing myself, I would say I am perseverant, positive, and self-motivated. In my leisure time, I enjoy jogging, gardening, and cooking. I have also started practicing breathing exercises to relieve stress.
My life’s belief is that it is more blessed to give than to receive. I feel a sense of accomplishment when I make contributions, whether at work, in my family, or to the community.
I have worked in various roles in both New Zealand and China and am pleased to maintain good relationships with my colleagues, team leaders, and bosses. At Climber Property, I enjoy the collaborative environment the most. Each of us performs our own duties, and working with talented and supportive colleagues not only boosts productivity but also makes each day enjoyable.
